Ornithology
The Oued Assaka and the region of Fort Bou-Jerif are famous for the diverse variety of birds you can observe there.
Many ornithologists often stay at Fort bou-jerif while studying birds from the region or during their migration. They come from France, but also Sweden, Great Britain...
A couple of Eagles live in one of the Tower on top of the Fort, around 5 or 6 PM, you can often see them going out to hunt.
In the Oued Assaka, you can observe many different species such as the egret, the snadpiper, the heron..., on the road between Guelmin and White Beach, a little bit further upstream from Fort Bou-Jerif.
And on White Beach of course, but you can't drive too fast since a collision with a seagull would be catastrophic...
